Bio
Destined to be an educator, PTAA Chinese class - 于老师 yú lǎo shī earned her Bachelor’s degree at Jishou University in Hunan, China and completed her Master’s of Education at Texas A&M University. Ms. Yu worked for two years teaching the Guzheng (Zither), a traditional Chinese instrument, and is passionate about the interplay between language acquisition, music, and culture. She is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese as well as several Chinese dialects.
